How to dictate an inspection instead of filling in a form

In “Works”, tap the add button , then “New inspection (voice)”.

Tap the microphone — the app shows “Recording started” — and talk: hive number, queen, brood, stores, colony strength, weather. The order doesn’t matter.

Here is the sort of sentence the app parses in one go:

“Inspecting hive number 24. Saw the queen, eggs present. No queen cells. Four frames of sealed brood, stores are good, strong colony.”

Tap the microphone again and “Recording saved” appears. From there:

1. Your speech is turned into text on the phone itself.
2. A large language model breaks that text down into inspection fields.
3. The values it found are shown as chips under “Found parameters”. Tap a chip to correct a value, “✕” to drop a parameter, “+ parameter” to add something the app didn’t catch.
4. Tap “Create inspection” and you get an ordinary inspection with the audio and photos attached. The app shows “Inspection created” and an “Open” button so you can check it straight away.

If you keep bees at more than one site, say the apiary name or code first, then the hive number you are inspecting.
