Inserts: a component inside a component
You can put a feeder, a division board or a queen excluder inside a box. An insert like that takes up frame slots, and the app counts them: in a 12-frame box, a feeder occupying two slots leaves you 10. The card shows this as a line saying 10 frame slots remain, 2 taken by inserts.
The position of an insert is set precisely: “At left wall”, “At right wall”, a numbered slot, a range of slots, or the gap between two frames.
If the position is taken or the insert will not fit, the app says so immediately — that those slots are already occupied, that it will not fit inside another insert, that something is already in that gap, or that the position is outside the box.
The contents of a box fold away and open up again with the “Show what is inside the box” button.
