How sync works

The app writes to a database on the phone, and exchanges data with the server separately. Record an inspection with no signal and it is saved; once you are back online, the data goes up to the server.

Sync runs by itself roughly once an hour whenever there is a connection. The button on the sync screen is there so you don’t have to wait out that hour.

Open the three dots menu → “Sync”. For each type of record you can see how much is waiting to go up and when it last synced. Everything syncs: apiaries, hives, colonies, queens, inspections, tasks, components, honey harvests, weights, diseases, treatments and swarms, along with photos and audio recordings.
