How to record a colony inspection
There are three ways to start an inspection, and they all end up in the same place:
- on the hive card, under “Inspection History” — the add button;
- in “Works” — the add button
, then “New Inspection”; - by voice — in “Works”, the add button
, then “New inspection (voice)”, see Voice inspections.
The form is broken into steps: “General Information”, “Queen”, “Brood”, “Food Stores”, “Colony Strength”, “Health”, “Actions Performed”, “Notes and photos”. You move between them with “Back” and “Next” — you can skip steps and come back to them.
You don’t have to fill everything in — empty fields simply don’t go into the record. Settle on a minimum set that you always record: whether you saw the queen, the colony strength, the brood and the stores, for example.
When you are done, tap “Create”. The app shows “Inspection saved successfully”.
