What goes into “Queens: attention required”

The widget covers four situations:

• “Queen not observed” — occupied hives with no queen linked to them. Empty hives do not appear here: a hive with no colony in it is not queenless, it is simply empty;
• “Queen cells” — hives where queen cells were recorded at the last inspection, with the type shown: swarm, supersedure or emergency;
• “Queens older than 3 years” — queens that have passed three full years. Candidates for replacement;
• “Unassigned queens” — living queens not assigned to any hive. Dead, lost, sold and culled queens do not appear here.

If none of this applies, the widget shows “All good — no alerts at this time”.
