What a hive is made of in Apian

A hive is put together from components, bottom upwards: bottom board → boxes → roof. Each component is a record of its own, and it can be moved to another hive or put into storage.

The types are: “Box”, “Half box” (the honey super), “Bottom board”, “Roof”, “Feeder”, “In-hive feeder”, “Queen excluder”, “Division board”.

The make-up of a hive is shown under “Components” on its card. On a newly created hive there is a button that builds the standard set for you — bottom board, boxes and roof.
