What is Apian

Apian is an app for keeping your apiary records on a phone. It stores the history of your apiaries, hives and colonies, and keeps track of queens, inspections, jobs, diseases and treatments, swarms, honey harvests and the weight of your scale hives.

The heart of Apian is that records are linked to one another. For example:

apiary → hive → colony → queen → inspections and events

Because of this, a colony’s history is never lost, even if it moved to a different hive during the season or had its queen replaced. Open the colony and you can trace its whole history and everything linked to it.

You don’t have to fill inspections in by hand. You can dictate them out loud: Apian recognises your speech and turns the dictation into a structured record.
